Betty June Hilton Hitchcock

Betty June Hilton Hitchcock (B.J) passed away on Saturday, July 26,2025, at age 72, I mean 27… She was born in Pensacola, FL and lived most of her life in Knoxville and East Tennessee. She attended Bearden High School and the University of Tennessee.

 B.J was the type of person that if you showed her the night sky, she would show you the rainbow. She was an amazing artist and teacher. B.J used these skills in her career and many volunteer ventures. One of her favorite organizations to volunteer with was the Girl Scouts. She spent time with the Scouts as a child, as a teen, and as an adult. Later in life, she loved spending time with her family- mostly grandkids, working puzzles, and reading fiction novels.

 She is preceded in death by her mother, Bobbie, and father, Charles, and her brother Russell (Rusty) Hilton. She will be remembered by her husband of 43 years, James (Jim) Hitchcock, her son Zachary Hitchcock, and his spouse Melissa, her daughter, Andee Saucier, and her spouse Ryan, brothers, Jack, Rob, and Gary (sp. Jennifer), her nieces and nephews, and five grandchildren: Simon, River, Lorelai, Malachi, and Tobias.

 A Celebration of Her Life will be held at Grace Lutheran Church ,9076 Middlebrook Pike, Knoxville, TN 37923 on Saturday, August 9,2025 at 2:00 pm. The family is asking that donations be sent to the Girl Scouts of Southern Appalachians.
