Born in Dekalb County, Alabama in 1941. Avis Jean Liles Sibert of Powell, TN, formerly of Oliver Springs, TN, went to be with our Lord and Savior on September 17, 2017. Avis was a beautiful, strong woman. She loved bowling, playing cards, casinos, John Wayne, and her dog Suzie Q. She loved her family and friends. She always loved to go shopping for clothes and shoes, so she could dress up to go out to eat or on a trip to Detriot or Las Vegas, or even to go see “a good-looking man”.
She is preceded in death by her parents, Hassie Lee Liles and Catherine Culpepper Liles Emory of Oliver Springs, TN. She is survived by her daughter Shelia Justice and her husband Robert Justice of Powell, her son Terry Sibert of Knoxville, her granddaughter Kristy Morris and her husband Jason Morris, of Powell, her grandson Jamie Lawson, along with 4 great-grandchildren. Her journey will always be remembered and will always be talked about by her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren.
A Celebration of Life Ceremony will be held at a later date.
