Janice Marie Tipton, age 72, passed away unexpectedly in her home on November 6, 2023.
She was preceded in death by her parents Cecil and Martha Jewel Long Huffstetler; sister Judy Potter; brothers Keith, Steve, Gordon, and Allen Huffstetler.
She is survived by her loving and devoted husband of 53 years, Sidney Tipton; daughter Tina Tipton (Nicole Thomas) and grandchildren Avery and Aidan Tipton Thomas; son Kevin Tipton (Stephanie) and grandchildren, Logan Matthews (Sarah Canning) and Nathen Tipton; brothers Riley Huffstetler (Judi) and Doyle Huffstetler (Kim); brother-in-law Huse Potter; sister-in-law Belinda Sue Huffstetler and many nieces and nephews.
Janice was a lifelong resident of the Carpenter’s Campground Community and was loved by all that met her. Her smile and laughter could light up a room. She was a 1969 graduate of Everett High School where she met the love of her life and partner of 57 years. She was a stay at home mom for many years but went back to work at Sears where she made many friends. In 1996 she started working as a cashier at Wal-Mart and was a loyal employee until her retirement in 2017. After retirement, Janice loved spending time with her family, walking the Greenbelt Park, decorating for every holiday, gardening, and working in the yard.
A celebration of life will be held at Pearson Springs Pavilion Sunday November 19, 2023, from 1-3 PM. This will be a casual gathering of friends and family.
