Joyce Ann Purkey, age 60, Friendsville, went to be with the Lord on Aug. 20, 2014. She was a member of Emmanuel Church of the Nazarene. Preceded in death by parents, Virgil and Mattie Purkey. Survived by brother, Harold Purkey and wife Lynda; sister, Karen Brendle; goddaughter, Miranda (Cameron) Rudd; nephews, Nick (Amanda) Purkey.
