Kenneth Ray Hayes, Jr.

Kenneth Ray Hayes, Jr., 62, died suddenly from cardiac arrest on Dec 31, 2021.  He is survived by his devoted partner, Deborah R. Ellis of Knoxville.  Kenny was a thoughtful and caring man who loved to fish, travel, play poker, and drink Mountain Dew.  Kenny was a veteran of the Army National Guard and served during Desert Storm.  He also leaves behind his daughter, Mandy King Folk, and his son, John Hayes.  He is survived by his sister, Linda Allred, and his brothers, Donnie, Mike, and Steve.  He is preceded in death by his sister, Diane, brother, Rick, and his sons, Billy and Justin.   He also has several nieces and nephews left behind.

Kenny worked as a plumber for many years.  He had a natural gift for fixing things and had a great interest in history.  He grew up in Blaine and enjoyed helping his papaw with the family farming.  He loved being outdoors and hiking when he was able.  He and Debbie took a lot of road trips and liked exploring the United States.  He especially enjoyed heading north to visit Debbie’s family.

Kenny will be remembered as a very sensitive man with a wonderful sense of humor.  He will be greatly missed.  He wished to be cremated and had no desire for a memorial service.
