Ronnie Floyd Bridgford, 77, of Knoxville, TN, passed, surrounded by his family, on April 2, 2015.
Ronnie is survived by his loving partner, Billie Freels; his daughter, Rhonda (Danny) McCune; son, Randy (Barbara) Bridgford; grandchildren, Stephen (Kendra) Blackburn, Scott (Brittany) Blackburn; and three great-grandchildren, Faith, Montana, and Rylee; sister, Marilyn Barton; and many nieces and nephews.
Ronnie was a loving father, son, grandfather, and friend to all. He adored his family, especially his grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Ronnie was born and raised in Aledo, IL. He moved to Texas as a young man, where he resided for 30+ years and worked as a Property Manager while he raised his children. Life’s next journey took Ronnie to Knoxville, TN, where he resided for 23 years. He worked at Knox County, in the County Clerk’s office, as a License/Registration clerk for 17 years. Ronnie always enjoys music, golf, and being outdoors. He loved singing in his band on the weekends. He also enjoyed cooking and entertaining others. Ronnie loved a good joke- both giving and receiving. Ronnie was an early adopter and embraced technology; he could often be found playing on his computer. Ronnie was quick to offer help to family and friends with whatever they needed, but mostly, he made us all laugh.
A life so beautifully lived deserves to be beautifully remembered. A celebration of Ronnie’s life will be held on Saturday, April 4, from 2:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m., in Billie’s backyard in Powell, TN, with burgers and music for family and friends. Additional celebrations will be held in Ft. Worth, TX, and Aledo, IL, where Ronnie will be laid to rest.
